Business Development & Implementation (BD&I) within Gas Strategy Execution and System Planning (GSESP) supports PG&E’s True North Strategy by investing in a safe, reliable system, greening the gas supply, and shaping state policies. The team focuses on decarbonizing the gas supply with renewable gas while increasing gas throughput for customers, relying on strategic development, regulatory policy implementation, and operational efficiency.
Gas Transmission Interconnection Managers oversee new interconnections to PG&E’s gas transmission system, handling customer applications, coordinating with engineering, operations, and estimating teams, and creating contracts and special facility agreements. They secure all required company and regulatory approvals, monitor project milestones to ensure facilities are ready when needed, and maintain all customer communications related to interconnections, all while upholding PG&E’s vision and values.
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, marketing, or a related field, plus seven years of natural gas industry experience. Desired qualifications include an MBA or equivalent graduate degree, project management certification, and specific expertise in PG&E’s interconnection processes, accounting systems, Gas Rules 15 and 16, and regulatory affairs.
The role requires approximately 25% travel and operates in a hybrid model, combining remote work with an assigned office location within the PG&E service territory in Oakland, based on business needs.
PG&E provides a salary range of $132,000 to $226,000 for the Bay Area, with actual compensation determined by factors such as skills, education, experience, market value, and internal equity. The position is also eligible for discretionary incentive compensation programs.
