  • Develop work plans and health & safety plans, ensuring field staff have been appropriately briefed on relevant plan details.
  • Prepare investigation summary, remedy implementation, performance monitoring, and site closure reports for submittal to clients and agencies.
  • Independently manage civil and environmental engineering projects related to solid waste facilities, landfills and transfer stations, environmental permitting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Direct industry employment history managing projects, budgets, and preparing cost estimates in the solid waste and remediation fields.
  • Lead planning and design efforts for solid waste infrastructure, containment systems, and leachate and landfill gas management.
  • Manage project staff and subcontractors, assigning resources as necessary to complete project tasks on schedule and within budget.
  • Manage scope, schedule, budget, and reporting for assigned projects.
  • Oversee contaminated site remediation projects including nature and extent studies, evaluation of corrective measures, implementation of remediation strategies, environmental due diligence assessments, and analysis and remediation of emerging contaminants.
  • Manage and evaluate data, perform analyses, and compare findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal standards for regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and clients to execute environmental investigation and remediation projects.
  • Develop new business throughout the United States.

This full-time office-based position requires approximately 40-45 hours per week and involves a blend of field work, strong communication skills, and problem-solving abilities. If you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, this opportunity is ideal for you.

  • The ability to travel to client sites and other Trihydro offices.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license and the ability to obtain licensure in additional states if necessary.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to producing high-quality deliverables.
  • Working knowledge of health & safety practices and a commitment to safe operations.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills to communicate effectively with clients and project team members.
  • Initiative and motivation to complete project deliverables on schedule and within budget.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (experience with Microsoft Project or equivalent project scheduling tools is helpful).
  • Experience with AutoCAD software, Civil3D, Leapfrog, or other 3D modeling software is a plus.
  • The ability to grasp scientific concepts and apply them to technical challenges.
  • A clean driving record.
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience.
  • A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related field.
