Painting Technician

Description

• Maintain painting equipment and tools.
• Train new team members on painting techniques, safety protocols, and company procedures.
• Follow safety protocols to protect oneself and others from hazardous materials.
• Manage and lead a team of painters in executing painting projects according to specifications.
• Ensure all painting work is completed on schedule and meets quality standards.
• Mix and match paint colors to ensure desired shade and consistency.
• Address any issues or concerns that arise during projects and provide solutions in a timely manner.
• Inspect work sites to ensure safety measures are followed and work is progressing as planned.
• Maintain proper inventory of painting supplies and equipment.
• Inspect finished work to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
• Apply paint coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as needed.
• Coordinate with clients to understand their requirements and provide recommendations as needed.

Requirements

• Physical stamina and the ability to work in various environments.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Proven experience as a painter with expertise in a variety of painting techniques.
• Knowledge of various painting techniques and materials.
• Proven experience in painting and surface preparation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills
• Clean driving record and personal transportation
• Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to travel regionally (50-75%)
• Be able to pass a drug and background test.
• Knowledge of safety standards and procedures related to painting.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Good communications skills, ability to scan, email photos and utilize apps from cell phone
• Willingness to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in confined spaces when necessary.
• Commercial Construction Experience (5+ years), preferably restaurant
• Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods.
