Journeyman Ironworker

Description

• Lead and Teach: Support the crew by mentoring apprentices and sharing what you know. You'll help the team grow stronger every day.
• Embrace safety as a top priority, always adhering to OSHA construction safety standards.
• Weld, Cut, and Bolt: Use the right tools and certified techniques to ensure a clean and strong job. Quality product delivered on time.
• Work Safe Daily: Follow OSHA rules, wear your PPE, and keep the site safe for everyone.
• Prioritize shortcuts over safety and quality, compromising the integrity of the project.
• Build with Precision: Install beams, columns, stairs, and railings that match the blueprints. Use bolts, welds, and tools to execute the job with precision.
• Follow the Plans: Read blueprints and layout drawings to ensure everything goes exactly where it should.

Requirements

• Have 3 to 5 years of structural and/or miscellaneous steel erection experience.
• Are not comfortable with the role's physical demands, including heavy lifting, climbing, and working at heights.
• Skilled with cranes, rigging, welding, bolting, and other core ironworking operations.
• Unwilling to work collaboratively or mentor your peers in a high-standard work environment.
• Possess a strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and structural drawings.
• Enjoy working in a challenging but rewarding environment that values precision, dependability, and teamwork.
• Struggle with reading technical plans and blueprints or following detailed installation instructions.
• Do not have reliable transportation or the flexibility to work weekends or overtime as project demands require.
