Due to continued growth, Boswell has a rare career growth opportunity for an experienced Permit Specialist/ Permitting Engineer for our South Hackensack, NJ Headquarters! The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded Engineer or Permit Specialist with experience in permits for utility transmission line guide rails including county/ municipal, state, DOT and MASH standards. No 3rd Party Agencies please.

- Working knowledge of New Jersey and MASH standards for the design of guide rails
- Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously with the ability to prioritize
- The types of permits to be obtained include, but are not limited to, municipal building, tree clearing, grading and fence permits, road opening permits, municipal zoning approval, county road opening and occupancy permitting, NJDOT highway occupancy permits, etc.
- Must possess a bachelor’s degree in either Civil of Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university with a minimum of two (2) years of engineering and/ or permitting experience
- Be proficient with computer programs including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and AutoCAD (Civil 3D a plus)
- Flexible and willing to work outside normal business hours as needed in order to meet specific project deadlines
- Engineer-In-Training Certification (EIT) or have the ability to obtain EIT within one year
- Prior experience working with large electric utilities is a plus.
- Be detail/ project schedule oriented with ability to meet aggressive schedules
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Work well independently and also as a Team contributor and collaborator

The salary range below is applicable for the job and location associated with this position. Compensation will vary based on specific relevant experience, education, certifications, skill levels, geographic location and other compensable factors.
Salary Range: $ 75,000.00 – $ 90,000.00
