Stainless Steel Pipe Welder (Prefab Shop)

Description

This is a full-time on-site role for Pipe Welders located in Apopka, FL. The Pipe Welders will be responsible for welding and fitting pipes to specifications, examining work product for defects, and ensuring conformance with specifications. Your initial project will focus on Stainless Steel Piping.

Fit and Weld (stainless) steel pipes for plumbing/mechanical applications.

Requirements

Randall Construction – Prefabrication department is currently seeking top-tier Pipe Welder with Stainless Steel Experience to work in our Shop in Apopka, FL. We are excited about this important role and are determined to consider the best and brightest candidates who meet our requirements.

You must be able to lift a dead weight of at least 50 pounds and stand on your feet for several hours at a time. You must also be able to bend, stretch, crouch, and lift as required by the job, be able to respond quickly to sounds, see and respond to dangerous situations, and properly wear personal protective gear.

• Must be able to pass a brief verbal pipe fitters test during interview.
• Excellent knowledge of Fitting configurations adhering to ASME B31.1 Power Piping
• Preferred knowledge of examination, testing, inspection, operation, and maintenance of piping systems found in industrial, institutional, and general heating and cooling systems.
• Knowledge of plumbing, pipefitting, and welding techniques
• Ability to read and interpret spool drawings and technical detail data sheets.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
• Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to achieve quality objectives and project success.
• Working knowledge of gas cutting techniques for piping (Automatic & Manually)
• Working knowledge of SMAW, FCAW, Stick (6010/7018) welding
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity with attention to detail
• High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational training or certification in pipe welding
• Communication: Effective English or Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) verbal and written communication skills are a must have.
