  • Prepare detailed scopes of work, work plans, and phasing strategies for ICA packages.
  • Witness and supervise testing, FAT/IFAT, and pre-commissioning activities.
  • Develop inspection and test plans, FAT/IFAT protocols, and method statements.
  • Manage material submittals for PLCs, RTUs, panels, instrumentation, and cabling.
  • Validate as-built drawings and support commissioning activities with clients and subcontractors.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, site briefings, and safety inspections.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and manage installation inspections for panels, cabling, and field devices.
  • Supervise ICA works on site, ensuring compliance with standards and safety requirements.
  • Review supplier offers and prepare Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE).
  • Provide constructability input to optimise design for safe installation and operation.
  • Monitor progress, productivity, and quality against programme targets.
  • Review ICA designs for compliance with WIMES, Thames Water standards, and project requirements.
  • Assist with BOQs, cost estimates, procurement schedules, and budget verification.
  • Contribute to commissioning strategy planning and integration with PMS, SCADA, and electrical systems.

  • Familiarity with major water utility projects and client approval processes.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in ICA works within utilities, process, or water sector projects.
  • Degree, HNC, or HND in Control & Instrumentation or Automation Engineering.
  • Knowledge of WIMES and Thames Water standards.
  • ECS Manager Card and full UK driving licence.
  • Strong understanding of safety requirements on live utility sites.
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status (IET/InstMC).
  • CSCS card, SMSTS, First Aid, Confined Space Training.
  • Hands-on experience with process instrumentation installation and commissioning.
  • Experience with PMS, SCADA, ICS, fibre optic cabling/testing, and cyber security for control systems.
  • Thames Water Safety Passport and National Water Hygiene Card.
