The primary function of this role is to provide managerial support nationwide to the Sprinkler Designers. The company aims to continuously grow Sprinkler Operations revenue while maintaining profit, satisfying customer requirements, and complying with NFPA guidelines. This position reports to the Vice President, Engineering & Operations and works closely with the Sprinkler Design Technical Manager and Blueprint room staff. It requires working in a fast‑paced, multitask environment focused on administration, organization, reporting, data management, and customer service.
The role includes planning, directing, coordinating, and evaluating the activities and performance of the Sprinkler Design Managers.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 15+ years of construction design experience, 5+ years in a management position, and BIM experience. A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field is required; knowledge of AutoCAD, Navisworks, Revit, and NICET Level III certification are considered pluses. The candidate must be able to travel, demonstrate strong problem‑solving, strategic thinking, communication, and organizational skills, and be proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
The incumbent must effectively communicate, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of employees, government agencies, customers, vendors, and suppliers.
Physical demands include frequent sitting, standing, walking, climbing, lifting, and using hands and fingers. The job requires medium‑strength effort (20–50 lb occasionally, 10–25 lb frequently) and exposure to varied environmental conditions such as indoor/outdoor settings, extreme temperatures, fumes, dust, noise, and vibrations. Protective equipment may be required, and the role also involves basic to advanced mathematical and technical document tasks.
