As a Safety Professional, you will ensure the safety of employees, trade partners, and the general public on our world‑class projects. The role is responsible for creating a culture of care while enforcing Clark’s Safety and Health Policy and local and federal safety standards on job sites. You will lead employee safety education in partnership with project supervisors to develop safe work plans for all phases and tasks, because no project is successful unless it is built safely.
Key responsibilities include driving Clark’s safety culture on each project, overseeing the safety of all personnel and the public, and enforcing corporate and project‑specific safety programs as well as federal, state, and local regulations. You will mentor safety staff, identify potential hazards, and develop corrective actions and project‑specific safety programs. Collaboration with field supervision ensures that hazard‑mitigation measures are integrated into construction planning, and you will deliver safety education tailored to upcoming work activities and emerging risk trends.
You will also facilitate third‑party safety reviews such as OSHA inspections, teach safety topics beyond your job site, and support corporate initiatives including OSHA alerts and policy development. Proactively building relationships with industry professionals and recruiting top talent are part of the role, as is exceeding stakeholder expectations by anticipating their needs.
The position requires at least four years of construction safety experience combined with an undergraduate degree in safety and health or equivalent trade experience, and a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) credential. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in crane, fall protection, excavation, scaffolding, and heavy equipment safety, and possess strong communication and influencing skills across all organizational levels. The ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment with an agile, data‑driven approach is essential.
Preferred qualifications include OSHA 30‑Hour certification, Certified Health and Safety Technician (CHST), first‑Aid/CPR training, and familiarity with EM‑385 standards.
Clark offers a total compensation package that includes a base salary ranging from $80,000 to $135,000, bonus potential, and a comprehensive benefits suite covering health, dental, vision, paid time off, retirement/401k with company contributions, life insurance, disability, fitness reimbursement, FSA, tuition reimbursement, child‑care support, employee assistance programs, and holiday contributions.
