The Business & Systems Analyst role leads the collection of business and functional requirements and drives programs and projects that improve overall operations, communication, and workflow efficiency across the organization.
Key responsibilities include evaluating and recommending process improvements, creating detailed workflow diagrams and project plans, conducting needs assessments, overseeing acquisition, setup, and ongoing support of property hardware, and coordinating system upgrades, conversions, and installations while ensuring compliance with development methodology standards.
The analyst develops technical reports, user manuals, and functional specifications, supports system design, testing, and rollout, prepares senior‑management reporting, and may supervise junior Business & Systems Analysts. They also perform financial and accounting analysis, preparing reports in line with budgeting, cost‑control, and real‑estate industry principles.
Required qualifications include strong written and verbal communication, proficiency with SQL, Yardi, spreadsheets, PowerPoint, and other programming platforms, preferred knowledge of internet programming languages, solid mathematical skills, a background in accounting/finance, understanding of multi‑family housing operations, and a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience.
Compensation ranges from $65,000 to $85,000 with eligibility for quarterly or annual performance bonuses.
