Jump in where needed to support cross-functional Accounting tasks during busy cycles
Process employee mileage and expense reimbursements for 300+ teammates
Support weekly payroll processing for 450+ employees across multiple unions and departments
Review, compile, and enter subcontractor timesheets and compliance documentation
Partner with Accounting and Project teams to streamline workflows and drive process improvements
Manage certified payroll reporting and union fringe benefit calculations for 15+ union agreements
Complete monthly, quarterly, and year-end tax filings and compliance reports

Requirements

Familiarity with Vista/Viewpoint software is a plus, along with strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and PDFs
Prior experience processing payroll, with strong understanding of tax and compliance requirements
Strong attention to detail and follow-through: you don’t let deadlines slip
4–5 years of administrative or accounting experience (construction industry experience preferred)
A proactive, problem-solving mindset: you look for ways to improve systems, not just maintain them
Excellent communication skills: you can explain payroll processes with clarity and compassion
