The role provides strategic, operational and specialist leadership to manage a portfolio of priority government programs, overseeing the full lifecycle from design through delivery and acquittal. It drives financial sustainability and operational effectiveness by managing program governance, compliance, risk and stakeholder engagement in partnership with delivery partners and internal teams. Additionally, the incumbent leads end‑to‑end delivery of high‑profile, high‑risk programs, including system establishment and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate holds tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and has senior‑management experience delivering large, complex projects on time and within budget. They possess a strong understanding of program and project management frameworks, compliance requirements, and the ability to manage risks, issues and changes effectively, as well as experience in economic analysis and evaluation methods.
If you’re after impact, there’s no other organisation in Australia that delivers work on this scale. This is your opportunity to broaden your experience and perspectives, stepping out of a standard project role and expanding your scope to work with an interconnected ecosystem of industry professionals.
These two permanent positions are based at the Elizabeth Street, Sydney office and operate under a hybrid working model that combines required onsite attendance with approved remote work, in line with the organisation’s Flexible Working Arrangements.
Our workforce reflects the diversity of the community we serve, with inclusion and diversity initiatives, flexible and hybrid work options, and dedicated support for veterans, Aboriginal people and persons with disability throughout recruitment and employment.
