  • Lead wellbore stability (WBS) and fracture gradient prediction development for well planning through data analysis and integration.
  • Advise multi-disciplinary teams on drilling fluid selection, casing design, setting depths, and geohazard mitigation techniques.
  • Engage actively in the Geomechanics/PPFG Community of Practice.
  • Support pore pressure and hole problem detection during drilling operations, updating predictions as necessary.
  • Interpret historical well data and plan future data collection for calibrating predictions related to reservoir depletion.
  • Integrate efforts across the Geomechanics and PPFG specialist community.
  • Conduct thorough post-well reviews and update prediction models accordingly.
  • Provide pore pressure and fracture gradient (PPFG) predictions from existing models and update as new data is acquired.

  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Strong understanding of various drilling hazards.
  • Ability to interpret surface and downhole data/logs effectively.
  • Relevant industry experience with an operator or service company in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of mud engineering, particularly LCM design and application.
  • Essential experience in Pore Pressure and Geomechanics with a solid understanding of Wellbore Stability and Fracture Gradient.
  • University Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Science, Geoscience, or Geomechanics with strong numeracy skills.
