  • Research and interpret environmental regulations and policies to support permitting and compliance strategies.
  • Collaborate with a team of regulatory specialists, scientists, and engineers on environmental permitting and compliance projects.
  • Assist in business development efforts, including proposal writing and client coordination, as requested.
  • Travel periodically to project sites and stakeholder meetings throughout the region.
  • Contribute to quality assurance, document control, and workflow management for complex regulatory submissions.
  • Coordinate and facilitate agency consultations and stakeholder meetings, documenting discussions and ensuring follow-up on commitments.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, agencies, and internal teams to ensure alignment on project objectives.
  • Prepare and manage regulatory and environmental documentation, including permit applications, compliance reports, and technical memoranda.
  • Support project management activities, including scope development, schedule tracking, and deliverable coordination.

  • Working knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations (e.g., NEPA, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, and state-level equivalents).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • 5–10 years of experience in environmental permitting, regulatory compliance, or natural resource management (consulting experience preferred).
  • Proven ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science, Hydrology, Environmental Policy, or a related discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Strong technical writing and documentation management skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying and solving project challenges.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with GIS software is a plus.
