Our GFL team is expanding and we are seeking an IT Service Delivery Manager (ITSDM) for the Chicagoland area. In this role you will oversee the delivery of IT services to GFL Operations, ensuring that service levels and quality standards are met. You will work closely with a team of IT professionals, coordinate with other departments, and continuously improve processes to enhance overall IT service delivery.
A typical day for an IT Service Delivery Manager involves developing strong relationships with business leaders to support strategic technology needs, acting as a liaison between IT and the business, and facilitating collaboration among business units, IT staff, and vendors. You will monitor project progress, manage stakeholder expectations, conduct needs analyses to identify process improvements, handle escalations, and coordinate working sessions for project delivery and troubleshooting.
The role requires at least five years of experience in IT service delivery management or a similar position, strong leadership abilities in high‑pressure environments, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A solid understanding of ITIL, project management methodologies, and IT infrastructure and software applications is essential, while knowledge of environmental services and willingness to travel between the US and Canada are considered assets.
