The Leasing Manager leads the leasing team to achieve effective leasing, marketing, and positive community relations within an apartment complex. This role is accountable for driving occupancy, enhancing resident satisfaction, and supporting the property’s financial objectives.
Key duties include generating and qualifying leads, conducting tours, and closing lease agreements while adhering to Fair Housing guidelines. The manager also implements marketing initiatives within budget, plans resident events to improve retention, and oversees the leasing staff through training, evaluation, and incentives. Coordination with maintenance, handling paperwork for move‑ins and move‑outs, maintaining social media presence, and performing market research complete the core responsibilities.
A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required, with preferred candidates having four years of leasing experience and two years in a supervisory role. The position demands strong leadership, a customer‑service focus, and the ability to manage multiple leasing activities concurrently.
The role involves typical office work, occasional stair climbing, and the ability to lift items up to 20 lb, as well as regular interaction with residents in person and via phone or computer. Work is primarily on‑site in an open‑office environment, with occasional exposure to outdoor elements.
