The position involves both office and field work, requiring periods of sitting, standing, and occasional travel for site visits and client meetings. Physical tasks may include lifting items up to 20 lb and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Lead marketing and business development by writing water resources sections of proposals, participating in client interviews, and supporting contract negotiations.
- Oversee stormwater and watershed master planning, NPDES MS4 program support, and capital improvement projects.
- Manage client relationships and subconsultant contracts, ensuring design reliability, constructability, and cost‑effectiveness.
- Mentor junior staff on technical issues and professional development.
- Permit new water, recycled water, and wastewater systems and develop design standards and technical reports.
- Conduct civil, hydrologic, and hydraulic analyses for structures such as stormwater ponds, drainage infrastructure, LID features, and green infrastructure.
- Prepare technical studies, design reports, and stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPP).
- Apply stormwater modeling software (HEC‑HMS, HEC‑RAS, StormCAD; WaterCAD preferred) and CAD/Bluebeam tools.
- Coordinate FEMA LOMC submittals and maintain a Professional Engineering (PE) license.
