This is a full-time or part-time on-site internship for engineering students interested in nuclear energy, based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Engineering Intern will support Hadron’s multidisciplinary technical team across areas such as reactor design, thermal-hydraulics, regulatory analysis, mechanical systems, and manufacturing processes. This is a general application for our internship program and may evolve into a more defined project or role based on candidate interest and team priorities.

  • Demonstrated interest in nuclear energy, decarbonization, or advanced energy systems
  • Reactor physics tools (e.g., MCNP, Serpent, SCALE)
  • Self-starter attitude and eagerness to contribute in a fast-paced startup environment
  • CAD and mechanical design tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely
  • Thermal-fluids modeling (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL, RELAP5)
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
