Surveyor

Description

The Surveyor role within Global Occupier Services in Birmingham supports the management of a diverse property portfolio for a prestigious client. The position provides full property management services, collaborates with other business units across the Cushman & Wakefield Group, and ensures seamless operation of client premises.

• Ensure cost‑effective operational running of the client portfolio/region.
• Liaise with clients, landlords and their agents to maintain uninterrupted premises use.
• Identify and drive cost‑savings initiatives for corporate occupiers.
• Monitor income collection and tenant liaison for sublet properties.
• Manage exit strategies for freehold and leasehold properties being vacated.
• Provide strategic advice on lease events and ensure lease compliance.
• Conduct statutory inspections and advise clients on regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with other Cushman & Wakefield teams and external professionals to deliver full service.
• Maintain direct client contact and produce regular reporting.

Requirements

• Possess a degree‑level estate management qualification (or equivalent).
• RICS membership is desired.
• Minimum two years of relevant commercial property experience.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of property management legislation.
• Demonstrated technical competence in property management and basic IT skills.
• Experience in corporate, public sector, or private practice property management.
• Familiarity with industry‑specific software (e.g., TRAMPS/PM&A) preferred.
