The Role

Overview

Lead and manage company-wide safety program, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.

Tasks

-Measure and improve : Track safety metrics and use data to identify risks and opportunities for continuous improvement. -Oversee workers’ compensation : Administer claims and partner with HR and managers to support employees. -Train and influence : Develop and deliver engaging safety trainings and resources, while embedding best practices across the organization and within project teams. -Champion field and office safety : Conduct inspections, provide guidance, and drive consistency, including support for project teams in the field and on client sites. -Lead our safety program : Update and maintain the company safety manual, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and bring safety expertise into client-facing projects to strengthen project delivery. -Guide emergency preparedness : Develop and coordinate response planning, drills, and communication strategies that extend to project and client environments. -Manage fleet safety : Oversee vehicle protocols, driver training, and risk mitigation to support both internal operations and project delivery needs. -Act as our OSHA liaison : Ensure compliance, reporting, and inspection readiness.

What You Bring

-Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Construction Management, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. -In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, federal and construction safety requirements, and the ability to apply this expertise in diverse project and client environments. -Ability to balance compliance and innovation, driving measurable safety improvements that enhance both Parametrix operations and the success of billable projects. -5+ years of progressive safety management experience in AEC with proven success supporting both internal operations and client-facing project teams. -Professional certifications such as CSP, CHST, or OSHA 30/500 are strongly preferred. We also welcome candidates who are actively pursuing these credentials and are committed to ongoing professional development in safety leadership.
