Overview

Manage airfield works on Cocos Islands, overseeing subcontractors, safety and handover.

Tasks

-Manage and coordinate all project airside works, including development of staging plans and Method of Work Plans (MOWP) to ensure no incidents. -Clearly establish and manage performance expectations and ensure team members understand their roles and responsibilities. -Safety management, monitoring and reporting for site activities. Supporting a strong safety culture amongst the team and subcontractors onsite. -Subcontractor Package management from tender to delivery, commissioning and handover. Including all aspects of job delivery; program, quality & technical, safety, commercial and maintaining positive working relations. -Working constructively with subcontractors and assisting to ensure they can succeed with the delivery of the package as required. Whilst appropriately managing commercial risks and identifying or forecasting deficiencies.

What You Bring

We're seeking suitably demonstrated project management and delivery experience, with relevant tertiary qualifications. You will have a sound understanding of defence contracts and experience working in a remote environment where you will be accountable and responsible for a sizeable package of civil works. You will have an innate ability to develop and maintain strong relationships, be able to support, mentor and effectively lead a project team to strong delivery, and promote a positive workplace culture based on trust, respect, and high performance.Our people share the same set of values that keep us REAL.
