The EDoCs Engineering Information Data Steward will play a central role in supporting the Port Authority’s Electronic Document Center (EDoC) by ensuring the accuracy, accessibility, and security of engineering information across major infrastructure initiatives. This position is responsible for capturing, managing, and validating engineering content and metadata; supporting structured workflows; and contributing to the Authority’s information governance efforts.
- Support EDoC Search operations and assist consultants and engineering personnel in retrieving required documentation.
- Prepare engineering information for transmittal to the Engineering Records Center.
- Assist in locating, gathering, and fulfilling EDoC requests submitted by internal staff, contractors, or consultants.
- Scan engineering documents using large-format and high-speed equipment and import them into the designated repository with accurate metadata.
- Produce monthly metrics and reports tracking all processed engineering information.
- Identify, resolve, and document data discrepancies in coordination with engineering staff.
- Conduct quality control on engineering information before and after ingestion into Canon Direct Print Exec and the EDoC Search system.
- Support supervisors and managers with additional tasks related to engineering information management.
- Manage and maintain engineering information and metadata within the Canon Direct Print Exec system.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical capabilities in document management, engineering information handling, and metadata quality control. The role requires high attention to detail, the ability to manage complex datasets, and the skills to collaborate with engineering staff, consultants, contractors, and information security teams. This position directly supports mission-critical engineering operations within a highly regulated environment.

- Ability to work full-time on a hybrid schedule (4 days onsite, 1 day remote), Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm.
- Ability to read, interpret, and extract information from engineering documentation.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Experience with engineering document research, metadata management, or data quality assessments.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with engineering, technical, and administrative teams.
- Prior experience supporting large public government agencies, utilities, or regulated environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing and validating engineering information with high attention to detail.
- Experience supporting information governance policies, compliance requirements, or security protocols.
- Strong system analysis skills with the ability to produce concept, scope, and system requirements documentation.
- Proficiency in Canon Direct Print Exec and strong experience with document management systems.
