Performing chemical transfers from one means of containment to another.

Upholding and helping ensure GFL’s high level of safety is fulfilled both physically and documentation.
Assisting in ensuring all Emergency Response equipment is operationally ready. This includes maintenance, inspections, documentation, upgrading and servicing our department’s equipment.
Provide or assist with vacuum truck and high-pressure water operations as required. Training post hiring can apply.

Courses and previous experience within HAZMAT, Tank Car Specialist, Tank Truck Specialist, ICS, CSE etc. would be considered assets.
Willingness and ability to continuously learn and practice new methods in regard to duties and safety practices.
Ability to work shifts and on-call as required for emergency situations.
Valid AZ, DZ or AR Licence with a suitable Driver’s Abstract would be considered and asset but not required for employment consideration.
Willingness to participate in specialized scheduled projects as required.
Valid minimum of G Driver’s Licence.
Valid First Aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain) would be an asset.
Operation of pickup trucks, utility trailers, forklifts, bobcats, etc. Post hire training may apply.
Strong work ethic and highly motivated, with the ability to work individually or in a team environment.
Time management
Physically and mentally fit and able to perform duties, wear required safety protective equipment and clothing.
