Machine Operator - Tempering

Description

• Operate heat‑treating furnace and run product per production schedule
• Set up and adjust recipes based on product type and quality inspection results
• Load product onto tempering line for heat treatment
• Perform required quality inspections and document results
• Inspect, approve, or reject product before it moves to the next department
• Log rejected product and report findings to QC, supervisor, and production control
• Perform rotating job functions as assigned

Requirements

This role is not open for submissions from outside staffing agencies. The position is for a Tempering Furnace Operator on the first shift.

An ideal candidate is reliable, self‑motivated, a team player, and hard‑working, seeking to start or advance a career in the glass industry. The role offers a pathway to grow within the company and develop expertise in glass manufacturing.

• Approximately 3 years experience in warehouse, manufacturing, production, or glass industry (preferred)
• 1 year experience operating computer‑controlled machinery
• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• Ability to lift up to 75 lb unassisted
• Ability to read and interpret basic measurements; use tape measure to 1/32 in
