Quality Lead

Description

• Assess production lines for quality procedures.
• Investigate customer complaints.
• Arrange delivery of samples for external testing.
• Assist in operations and administrative tasks.
• Audit sanitation of blending and production equipment.
• Coordinate equipment sanitation and swab testing.
• Serve as a backup to the QC Supervisor.
• Participate in audits and special projects.
• Perform daily scale and metal detector checks.
• Calibrate and verify laboratory equipment.
• Support Kosher and Halal certification maintenance.
• Review ingredients and finished products for age.
• Enter production data into the database system.
• Research and implement continuous improvement efforts.
• Initiate and update setup sheets.
• Conduct in-house and customer sanitation audits.
• Maintain accurate records and generate certificates of analysis.
• Evaluate batches, finished goods, and raw materials according to specifications.
• Participate in recall and mock recall procedures.

Requirements

• Knowledge of GMP guidelines.
• 2+ years of experience in quality control in the food industry or related field.
• Understanding of quality assurance and HACCP protocols.
• Experience with training quality technicians.
• Proficient in computer skills.
