The Commercial Gas Engineering team is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and efficient operation of heat network equipment, including boilers, chillers, fan coil units, HIUs, valves, meters, PAYG devices, and metering systems deployed within client developments.
Working closely with supply partners and following documented workflows and processes, you will carry out maintenance, repairs, commissioning, and commercial gas safety checks on commercial heating systems. Additionally, you will handle fault detection, repairs, and maintenance of heat metering equipment within the domestic heating sector. This role involves working in the built environment on multi-million-pound construction projects as well as in residential properties.

As a Commercial Gas Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of site-based activities, with a focus on maintaining and optimising domestic and commercial heat networks. This position requires extensive knowledge of district heating systems, with responsibilities spanning design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of communal heating systems, primarily within residential developments.
- Plumbing and Heating Certification:
- COCN1, CIGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1/1A, CCN1, WAT1, CKR1, HTR1, CPA1 (with a minimum of six months remaining prior to renewal).
- Knowledge of heating control systems and prior experience in service and maintenance environments, particularly within district/community heating schemes, large-scale plant rooms, or energy centres.
- NVQ Level 2 or higher in plumbing and heating is essential.
- Understanding of communal/district heating schemes and experience working within the service industry.
- Commercial & Domestic Gas Qualifications:
- 37.5 hours per week.
