Project Planner

Description

• Monitor progress, identify risks, delays, and opportunities, and report impacts to the project delivery team.
• Attend progress meetings with clients and internal teams, presenting programme status and key issues.
• Work collaboratively with the Mechanical & Electrical aspects of projects.
• Prepare monthly programme updates, progress dashboards, S-curves, and earned value reports.
• Conduct critical path analysis and scenario planning to support decision-making.
• Produce fully logic-linked programmes aligned with project scopes, WBS, and contractual requirements.
• Ensure compliance with water industry standards and frameworks (e.g., Thames Water, Southern Water, Wessex Water, etc., depending on project).
• Develop, manage, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Support tender programmes and provide planning input during bid stages.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6, including cost and resource loading.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple programmes simultaneously.
• Experience within the Southern Water authority (preferred).
• Knowledge of project lifecycles in the water sector (AMP frameworks, capital delivery).
• Proven experience as a P6 Planner within the Water Industry.
• Full UK driving licence (some site visits required).
• Understanding of NEC contract forms and programme requirements.
