The Maintenance Assistant supports residents by ensuring quality move‑ins, resident satisfaction, expedited service, and personal attention. This role is instrumental in delivering superior customer service on behalf of Cushman & Wakefield.
Core duties include preparing market‑ready apartments—painting, carpet repairs, cleaning and general repairs—responding promptly to resident requests, and performing basic maintenance such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, painting, and snow removal. The assistant also maintains grounds, pools, hot tubs, common areas and dog park amenities, reports maintenance concerns, follows scheduled tasks, complies with fair‑housing laws, attends required training, dresses to company standards and safeguards tools and equipment.
Key competencies involve reading manuals and safety rules, writing routine reports, interpreting written or diagrammed instructions, solving routine problems, holding a valid driver’s licence, and applying basic math and safety procedures.
The minimum education requirement is a High School Diploma, GED, or completion of trade, technical, or vocational schooling.
