Service Engineer - AE Civil
Rolls-Royce
Designs and manufactures power and propulsion systems for aerospace, marine, defence and energy sectors.
Providing engineering technical support for Rolls-Royce AE 3007 and AE 2100A gas turbine engines, and occasionally for RB211-535 engines, including answering operational questions, leading event investigations, tracking fleet reliability, and supporting safety investigations.
Participate in product level safety board reviews and in-service reviews with regulatory and airworthiness authorities
Organize and lead cross-functional teams consisting of internal design, failure analysis, and customer services personnel to achieve timely investigation and resolution of gas turbine engine hardware issues, including communicating status to customers
Act as the Product Maturity lead for AE to monitor reliability targets and performance against those targets, as well as provide reliability content for internal and external reviews
Understand and monitor fleet reliability characteristics and coordinate with Service Engineering, Customer Managers, MRO Engineering, and airline customers to resolve technical issues
Initiate technical publications changes required to support Rolls-Royce gas turbine engines, including Service Bulletins, Maintenance and Fault Isolation Manual revisions
Provide engineering support at overhaul facilities and customer sites as required and identify opportunities for cost efficiencies throughout the engine product lifecycle
