Plant Care Specialists visit customer sites daily to provide comprehensive plant care. They perform tasks such as grooming, rotating, watering, pruning, trimming, debris removal, soil moisture measurement, and fertilization. Their work also ensures that water or moisture does not damage surrounding floors, walls, or furniture.
The role involves applying trained techniques to maintain plant health, keeping plants and containers clean, and preventing diseases and insects. Specialists maintain the appearance of decorative elements and recognize opportunities for additional Ambius products. They also assist with various plant installations and seasonal decoration projects, as well as maintain scenting and air‑purification equipment.
Employees work independently in customers’ residences and commercial spaces, often unsupervised, and may handle sensitive information and regulated chemicals. They must resolve conflicts non‑violently and safely operate company vehicles. Rentokil complies with all federal, state, and local employment laws, including fair‑chance hiring practices and a drug‑free workplace.
Candidates should have experience caring for plants, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license. Strong communication, problem‑solving, and basic math skills are required, along with the ability to work Monday‑Friday and occasional Saturdays. Customer‑facing experience and the ability to safely use ladders and tools are preferred.
