• Engage with clients to determine sustainability requirements and prepare proposals.
• Identify new markets and service offerings for sustainability advisory services.
• Lead and manage ESG projects from inception to completion, overseeing technical, commercial, resource, and budget aspects.
• Conduct sustainability assessments to evaluate current practices and pinpoint improvement areas.
• Develop tailored sustainability strategies aligned with client goals and regulatory requirements.
• Advise clients on sustainable technologies, practices, and compliance with environmental legislation.
• Coordinate personnel allocation across projects in liaison with the Environmental & Sustainability Delivery Manager.
• Provide leadership, line reporting, and talent development for a team of consultants, engineers, and scientists.
• Motivate team members to meet personal and business targets.

Requirements

The Environment and Sustainability Team is seeking a Sustainability Study Manager to lead sustainability studies, advisory services, and line‑management duties. The role requires strong knowledge of sustainability strategies and ESG frameworks, as well as experience applying these in consulting contexts. The manager will oversee workload and resourcing for a team of environmental and sustainability professionals while continuing to develop technical expertise.

The position offers a fast‑paced, collaborative, and flexible working environment, ideal for candidates experienced in client engagement, project delivery, tendering, and team leadership. Successful applicants must hold a relevant degree, understand applicable legislation and standards, and possess project management and client‑relationship skills. The role is based in the UK and requires the right to work there.
