The Maintenance Manager plans, directs, and controls the Maintenance Department to keep plant equipment and facilities operating according to sound engineering practices.
Key responsibilities include managing the preventive maintenance program, ensuring all equipment is maintained in safe and efficient condition, and scheduling repairs to minimize downtime. The manager collaborates with other departments on equipment modifications, oversees plant transportation equipment maintenance, and establishes performance standards for maintenance projects. Additional duties involve controlling spare parts inventories and providing leadership and training to MRF Maintenance Technicians while meeting or exceeding company standards for inspections and repairs.
The role requires at least two years of leadership experience and five years of hands‑on plant maintenance, preferably with conveyor belts, industrial machines, electrical and hydraulic systems. Candidates must be able to train and develop employees and be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. The position works the third shift, beginning at 10 p.m., with the work week starting Sunday at 10 p.m.
Applicants must hold a high school diploma or GED and have at least four years of relevant work experience. The role offers a base salary range of $80,000 to $100,000, with potential incentive pay, and requires compliance with physical demands and a REAL ID or approved alternative for travel.
