The Safety Specialist for the Cooling, Power & Connectivity division protects the health and safety of field technicians who work on HVAC, generators, UPS systems, telecom towers, and other engineering operations. By applying expertise in electrical, vehicle, and regulatory safety, the role reduces incidents, prevents injuries, and enhances Pearce’s reputation with customers, regulators, and insurers. The specialist acts as a trusted advisor to operations leadership, shaping safety strategy and fostering a proactive safety culture in a highly technical environment.
Key responsibilities include leading investigations of injuries, vehicle incidents, near‑misses, and electrical events, and developing corrective and preventive actions. The specialist serves as the subject‑matter expert on NFPA 70E, lockout/tagout, energized work, and fleet safety, while designing and delivering training programs and safety procedures. Data‑driven analysis of leading and lagging safety metrics guides continuous improvement, and field audits, toolbox talks, and audit support ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, Cal/OSHA, and customer requirements.
The role requires solid field safety or EHS experience within mechanical and electrical infrastructure environments, along with a deep understanding of safety standards and best practices. The ideal candidate is skilled in conducting investigations, audits, and risk assessments, and in leveraging safety data to drive improvements. Relevant safety certifications are preferred, with additional specialized training considered an asset.
The position offers a base salary ranging from $70,000 to $90,000, supplemented by performance bonuses, referral incentives, vehicle and tool stipends, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) match, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and professional development opportunities. Pearce promotes a family‑friendly, innovative culture and provides the necessary equipment such as a company vehicle, phone, laptop, or tablet to enable success. The company is an equal‑opportunity employer committed to pay equity and compliance with transparency laws.
