The Foreman position is responsible for the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of fire alarm systems, overseeing a field team that installs, tests, troubleshoots, and repairs fire alarm and life safety equipment.
Key duties include installing or upgrading fire alarms in commercial and residential buildings, testing and repairing existing systems, and performing code‑compliant inspections. The foreman completes detailed inspection reports, reports work results promptly, and ensures the integrity of work before tying into the building’s fire alarm system through functional testing of devices and circuits. Additional tasks involve maintaining company equipment, operating warehouse vehicles safely, and responding to emergency service calls.
The role requires a Fire Alarm License (FAL) and at least three years of fire alarm experience; NICET certification and knowledge of NFPA 70 and 72 are preferred. Candidates must possess strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to lead and manage project teams, good interpersonal abilities, a clean driving record, reliable transportation, and flexibility for evenings, weekends, or out‑of‑town assignments.
Physical demands include regular standing, walking, climbing, lifting, and repetitive motions, as well as the ability to balance, hear, and use visual acuity while performing the job. The foreman must adhere to the company’s Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Safety Policy, and is expected to travel when needed and perform other duties as assigned.
Benefits include competitive pay, medical/dental/vision coverage, company‑paid life insurance and short‑term disability, a 401(k) with employer match, paid vacation and holidays, training and career development, and a company vehicle when applicable. Employees also receive immediate qualification for the ALL In Ownership Plan and other perks such as an on‑the‑job training program to obtain licensure.
