Emergency Preparedness / Planning Specialist

Provide regulatory support and analysis for nuclear emergency planning and preparedness.
Emergency Planning & Preparedness : Provide regulatory support to prepare safety analysis reports (SAR) and licensing applications, specifically for sections involving Emergency Planning, Emergency Preparedness, and Estimated Time to Evacuate
Project Scheduling & Issue Resolution : Provide input to project/program work schedule regarding the duration/scope of regulatory issues and the time/scope/effort involved in resolving them in order to implement project
Audit & Inspection Support : Provide technical and regulatory support as needed in preparation for or during NRC audits and inspections
Document Development & Review : Provide regulatory expertise to develop and review documents for submittal and/or presentation to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), other regulatory agencies, or clients, with accountability for accuracy and completeness of these documents
Commitment Tracking & Closure : Provide regulatory support to evaluate, track, and drive past and future commitments to closure as appropriate
Research & Technical Analysis : Perform independent research, reviews, studies, and analysis in support of regulatory/technical projects and programs
Provide direct project support as an individual contributor or team leader

Ability to represent ENERCON and/or clients at NRC, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and other regulatory agencies’ meetings and workshops
2 years of regulatory/emergency planning experience in the nuclear industry preferred
Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the US without requiring current or future sponsorship.
Excellent knowledge and understanding of regulations, regulatory agencies, and the regulatory processes supporting Emergency Planning, Emergency Preparedness, and Estimated Time to Evacuate
Must have strong organizational and excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated competencies in technical writing, facilitation, and decision-making
Ability to pass a pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) according to com pany and client policies.
Must be able to work productively with other staff, at all levels, in a team environment
Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in the nuclear industry
Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Science, or Engineering from an accredited university
Technical proficiency in understanding general engineering, design, and the nuclear industry
Remote will be considered for candidates that are senior and above
Ability to work in time constraining regulatory environment while maintaining a quality product
