A Credit Controller is responsible for managing arrears across a portfolio of commercial, industrial and retail properties, working within a large team and maintaining regular direct communication with tenants to manage arrears on behalf of clients.
The role involves collaborating with client accountants, treasury clerks and property managers to deliver best‑in‑class service, reviewing and managing arrears, employing appropriate chasing and collection techniques, and producing analytical arrears reports for property managers and clients.
The ideal candidate is proactive, practical and positive, with professional communication abilities, GCSE grades (9‑4/A‑C) in Maths and English, good numeracy, and solid IT skills especially in Outlook and Excel. No specific credit control qualifications are required.
Success requires high attention to detail, strong organisational, prioritisation and communication skills, teamwork, initiative, and a desire to learn and develop; the salary range is £22,500‑£26,000.
