The Maintenance Supervisor is accountable for supervising the maintenance department that services all equipment and buildings at the Extrusion Facility and assists in equipment installation. The role directs and coordinates maintenance‑related activities aimed at continuous improvement while ensuring maximum safety, product quality, production output, housekeeping, and cost control to achieve plant goals.
- Supervise day‑to‑day activities of the maintenance department to optimize equipment efficiency, quality, and budget compliance.
- Procure and inventory MRO parts and services to support production while meeting budgets and just‑in‑time inventory goals.
- Implement and maintain a record‑keeping system for preventive and conditional maintenance requirements.
- Follow EH&S/ISMS procedures related to MSDS sheets, procurement, and contractor management.
- Maintain fire‑safe area, compressed gas storage, and issue Hot Work Permits in compliance with EH&S/ISMS Elements 17.0; review completed permits for accuracy and submit them for filing.
- Ensure IPEX receives complete goods and services required from contractors.
- Keep maintenance repair items, parts, and inventories readily available to enable timely equipment repairs.
- Maintain critical spare equipment for use in manufacturing.
- Plan and develop critical spare parts inventory for equipment.
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are planned and adhered to.
- Lead initial recruiting to fill open positions in the maintenance department.
- Implement 5S improvements in the maintenance area.

- Hold a college or university diploma in a technical field or equivalent experience.
- Bring at least 5 years of experience in a maintenance leadership role.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Have a proven track record in a continuous‑improvement manufacturing environment with ISO 9001.
- Possess knowledge of blending, injection molding, and extrusion equipment.
- Exhibit excellent leadership, written and verbal communication, problem‑solving, and project management skills.
- Be proficient with computers, including word processing, spreadsheets, and Outlook.
