Nursery Foreman

Description

• Lifting and stacking modules onto pallets for shipping.
• Overseeing and directing the day-to-day work of a team of nursery technicians
• Unloading trucks by hand, skid steer or forklift.
• Communicate effectively with managers and crew members.
• Complete work to a high standard of excellence and Greenrise Technologies quality.
• Fill modules with soil, plant with tile, plugs or cuttings using proper planting methods.
• Stacking, Loading and Unloading
• Loading trucks by hand, skid steer or forklift.
• Follow safety protocols pertaining to vehicles, equipment or site conduct as instructed.
• Go over the daily work schedule with the Nursery Foreman each morning.
• Ensure tools and equipment are inspected, maintained, and stored properly.
• Fertilizing, weeding, watering, and inspecting plant condition.
• Filling, Planting and Growing

Requirements

• Experience working with hand tools, skid steers and forklifts (preferred)
• Must be able to multi-task and handle a variety of tasks and responsibilities in a professional, prompt manner.
• Must be able to work independently, utilizing good judgement and take initiative to complete tasks.
• Ability to listen and follow directions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• A valid driver’s license (preferred)
• Individuals must be dependable, have good interpersonal skills, flexibility, and the ability to interact and communicate with associates at all levels.
• Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to project challenges.
• Must have demonstrated initiative to complete responsibilities.
• Physically fit and able to work long days outside in the elements.
• Reliable and punctual attendance
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent organizational skills.
• Experience working with plants or in a nursery (preferred)
• Always represent Greenrise in a professional manner.
• Able to work on your own and with fellow crew members to achieve daily and weekly goals.
