Manage functional setup and resolve functional issues related to manufacturing systems, documenting resolutions for future reference.
Collaborate with the Operations team to identify, evaluate, and pilot implementation of technology/IT solutions that improve manufacturing/operational efficiency, quality, and communication.
Occasional international travel to collaborate with the global quality team in France.
Work with Local and Corporate IT personnel to manage and ensure IT manufacturing systems are well maintained, including hardware, software, and network infrastructure. This can include taking ownership of new software and hardware licenses purchase requests, renewals or cancellations and managing relationships with vendors for support.
Responsible for representing manufacturing in the deployment and evolution of the information system. This includes collaborating with various departments to ensure that the manufacturing requirements are adequately addressed and integrated into the system.
Monitor system performance and conduct regular maintenance to ensure optimal functionality.
Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Serve as the industrial reference for projects deployed at the group level.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in manufacturing technology and recommend upgrades or improvements as needed. It may involve travel to technical expos or participating in webinars.
Provide training and support to staff on the use of manufacturing technology systems. This can include time outside of regular business hours to support production staff in the manufacturing facilities.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure data security and compliance with industry standards. Maintain policies and user access in a SharePoint repository and keep up to date.

Regular travel between facilities within Ontario is required.
