Reporting to the Property Manager, the supervisor ensures apartment homes and facilities are in good working order and meet company standards. Primary responsibilities include coordinating the maintenance team, responding promptly to service requests, maintaining market‑ready units, and upholding property appearance.
The supervisor also assists with hiring, training, and developing maintenance staff, which may include painters and landscaping personnel.
Within a community, the Property Manager leads all aspects of community life, the Maintenance Supervisor coordinates repairs, Assistant Property Managers support operations and finance, Technicians perform day‑to‑day maintenance, and Leasing Consultants handle leasing, resident interaction, and marketing activities.
The Apartment Maintenance Supervisor role is designed for an experienced maintenance professional ready to supervise and motivate a team to achieve property‑specific goals in the multifamily industry. The position offers tools and support for career growth within MAA.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, three to five years of multifamily property management, facility maintenance, or mechanical repair experience, and HVAC experience. Required licenses are EPA Type II or Universal, and for Florida locations a CAMT license. A valid driver’s license is required, and one to three years of supervisory experience is preferred.
