Reviews and approves medium and critical lift and transport studies. Develops rigging training courses for site personnel as required.
Works with vendors and subcontractors, providing subject matter expertise in meetings and reviews regarding the execution of subcontract lifting and/or heavy oversized site transport.
Maintains contact with permitting authorities and other government and regulatory agencies and statutory authorities regarding transport and/or lifting of equipment.
Assesses and plans crane and heavy transport requirements and assists in the preparation of the Construction Equipment Schedule (CES)
Maintains contact with Engineering regarding plant layout, foundation design, vessel/module designs, provision for lifting, and verification of the suitability of imposed loadings.
Assists with maintaining contact with Traffic & Logistics regarding feasibility of heavy/oversize haul and barging/heavy-lift shipping and marine operations, temporary dock facilities and haul routes to site.
Works with rigging engineers in the preparation of conceptual (and working) lift and transport studies.

Structural, Piping, Mechanical and complex lifting installation experience.
Knowledge of/willingness to commit to the Project ES&H Handbook, the Supervisors ES&H Manual, the Project Safety Management Plan and the Bechtel Core Processes.
Analytical and strategic planning: able to prioritize and balance short-term and long-term priorities.
Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
Knowledge of a single or multi-discipline function/s in construction or engineering environments relating to field/site-based activities.
Experience in supervision or leading a team within Oil and Gas OR heavy industrial environment preferred.
Knowledge of/willingness to commit to Bechtel’s Zero Accident Philosophy.
Must have sound knowledge and experience in RT, all terrain and crawler cranes.
Knowledge of Standard Work Process Procedures (SWPPs).
