Description

The role involves installing and commissioning modular portable fleets, such as generators, chillers, load banks, and cooling towers, and performing preventive and condition‑based maintenance. Technicians will respond to on‑site service and breakdown calls, monitor equipment performance, and take corrective action with support or on‑site intervention. They will also manage spare parts, maintain inventory, and ensure compliance with Aggreko’s servicing schedules and safety policies.

• Install, commission, and maintain modular fleets of generators, chillers, load banks, and cooling towers.
• Perform preventive and condition‑based maintenance according to schedule.
• Respond to on‑site service and breakdown calls, providing immediate corrective actions.
• Monitor equipment performance, analyze parameters, and coordinate with operators for troubleshooting.
• Manage spare parts, consumables, and maintain minimum inventory at customer sites.
• Train operators and technicians, ensuring accurate log‑books and compliance with Aggreko standards.
• Prepare equipment for hire following the ‘Green Card’ procedure and complete client‑approved work reports.
• Uphold QHSE, ISO 9000, and 24‑hour call‑out policies, reporting any incidents or fuel spills.
• Maintain housekeeping of work areas and service vehicles, and document breakdown analysis.

We are seeking a Service Technician – Electrical for our modular fleet operations in Vadodara and Jamnagar, India.

Candidates must hold a diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering and possess a government‑issued electrical supervisor licence. We require 3‑5 years of experience with diesel or gas generators, chillers, and related auxiliaries, including hands‑on work with LHP/HHP engines and controller systems. Familiarity with switchgear, transformers, HVAC equipment, load banks, and the ability to read electrical drawings are essential.

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering with a government‑issued electrical supervisor licence.
• 3‑5 years of experience in diesel/gas generator OEM, rental power, or utility maintenance.
• Hands‑on experience with LHP/HHP diesel engines and manufacturers such as Cummins, Iveco, Scania, or Caterpillar.
• Proficiency with DEIF/Deepsea/Carrel controllers and troubleshooting of switchgear (Siemens/Schneider).
• Knowledge of LV/HV transformer and switchgear maintenance, HVAC equipment, and load banks.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, strong English communication skills, and accurate reporting.
• Valid light‑vehicle driving licence for service vehicle operation.
