The Senior Associate (SA) for the Buildings team in Singapore and the APAC region will act as a technical role model, driving strong design and project delivery processes while fostering a high‑performance culture. Reporting to the Technical Director or Projects Director, the SA will support and execute the Buildings APAC strategy and pursue new business opportunities.
In this position the SA will mentor and lead design teams, create and coordinate structural design deliverables, and oversee projects from concept through detailed design, supervision and closure. Responsibilities include producing reports, calculations, tender submissions, technical documentation, sketches, presentations, drawings and specifications, as well as ensuring quality assurance of structures.
The SA will collaborate with BIM modelers, coordinate submissions to authorities, review project deliverables, and lead design management across disciplines. Participation in bids, tenders, client proposals, fee negotiations and resource planning are also required, along with supporting business development and strengthening the Ramboll brand.
- Mentor, build and lead multidisciplinary design teams.
- Produce and coordinate structural design deliverables (reports, calculations, tender submissions, drawings, specifications).
- Lead projects from initial concept through detailed design, supervision, and closure while ensuring quality assurance.
- Perform structural analysis and design, including finite element analysis and parametric optimisation.
- Coordinate BIM models to align with client requirements and design intent.
- Manage project submissions to authorities and review all project documentation.
- Drive design management and coordination with other engineering disciplines.
- Participate in bids, tenders, and prepare client proposals and fee negotiations.
- Structure project teams, procure resources, and plan project execution.
- Support business development to grow Ramboll’s brand and secure new opportunities.
- Monitor KPI metrics: client satisfaction, design excellence, timely project delivery, and financial performance.

Candidates must hold a relevant bachelor's or master’s degree (or chartered qualification) and have at least ten years of experience as a design lead or manager. Required skills include excellent English communication, proficiency in structural design software such as ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, and strong analytical and detail‑oriented abilities; knowledge of parametric tools like Rhino or Grasshopper is a plus.
- Maintain proficiency in ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE and, optionally, Rhino/Grasshopper.
- Demonstrate strong analytical, communication and detail‑oriented skills in English.
