Participate in accident investigations and review meetings to determine and communicate root causes for future prevention
Conduct weekly Safety Orientations to new employees .
Complete train-the-trainer courses and provide on the job training to employees as requested in the areas of Aerial Lift, Forklift, etc.
Visit various jobsites, by the request of a manager or at random. Learn how to interact with field staff and leadership, identify various compliance and safety issues, and encourage hazard recognition to support the company to “0” injuries.
Respond as a resource of information to employee questions and issues regarding safety
Assist Safety Team in developing topics for Branch safety meetings and monthly safety talks

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, construction emphasis preferred

Positive safety attitude and personal integrity – both are non-negotiable
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and able to quick learner to computer programs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to gain trust and respect of employees and supervisors throughout all levels of the organization
