Leading provider of housing, care, and support services across the UK.
Here at Home Group we look after vulnerable customers, as well as those with complex care needs. Your job will be to ensure customers are safe, the buildings are secure and pleasant, and that we get on well with our neighbours.
What you’ll do includes walking around the building checking CCTV, fire doors and communal areas, greeting customers and visitors, picking up repairs or cleaning tasks, and being the first line of support when the wider team or the customer’s own support network isn’t available. You will monitor and respond to incidents calmly, quickly and fairly, and work with colleagues and partners to manage anti‑social behaviour.
Calling all night owls! Prefer staying awake and working through the night rather than snoozing away like the rest of us? We’re looking for a dedicated night worker who won’t fall asleep on the job.
You have to be calm under pressure with strong communication skills, possess passion and experience in supporting others, and demonstrate good judgement and clear communication. You must recognise when situations are about to go wrong and intervene sensitively, and you will need a valid driving licence and a vehicle insured for business purposes – mileage will be paid.
The practical bits: You will work Monday to Sunday on a four‑week rolling rota between 21:45 and 08:15. Although you’ll work nights alone, you will regularly meet in the daytime for training and team meetings. You must be able to use technology to monitor CCTV, update records and communicate with colleagues, and you will need an Enhanced DBS check, which we will pay for.
Housing Concierge. Salary £12.60 per hour, £24,638 pa pro rata, and great benefits including a Health Cash Plan. Permanent part‑time role (35 hours per week) working 4 on 4 off (Monday‑Sunday). Located in Hartlepool. We can’t offer a CoS for this role. Home, a place where you belong.
What’s in it for you? You’ll receive 34 days of pro‑rated leave (including bank holidays and a “me day”), paid time off for volunteering, and matching pension contributions up to 7% with life assurance of three times basic salary. You can save up to £1,140 yearly with our health cash plan covering dental, optical and therapies, and you’ll benefit from a clear career path, excellent training, supermarket discounts and travel expense reimbursements.
Why join us? This is more than a job; it’s a place where you feel valued, with great training, supportive colleagues and a chance to make a real difference every day. Be part of one of the UK’s top 10 Great Places to Work.
