Perform daily safety audits to ensure team member safety. Complete problem-solving activities to eliminate safety hazards. Escalate immediate safety concerns and incidents to Safety team. Actively support 5S actions within the plant.
Review daily staffing requirements to ensure productivity goals are maintained. Perform problem solving activities to eliminate waste and increase efficiency.
Attend improvement events and communicate results and action items with team.
Track team member morale and discuss potential opportunities with team.
Participate in and complete performance evaluations.
Work with team to complete rapid daily problem solving.
Take initiative to recognize areas of opportunity and resolve with appropriate action
Maintain the integrity of confidential business and product information
Effectively communicate change to team members.
Document internal and external quality issues. Discuss internal quality issues with team and complete problem-solving activities to prevent recurring internal quality issues. Escalate external quality issues to Quality team with a sense of urgency.
Monitor pace of the line ensuring takt times are met. Escalate production stoppage and develop short term countermeasures. Review daily schedule and sequence to ensure daily goals will be achieved. Plan for team member absences to ensure production goals will be met.
Develop cross training plans for team members to learn all tasks within a manufacturing line.
Coach and help team members understand KPI metrics and behaviors.
Participate in interview and selection process of new team members.

Demonstrate excellent leadership skills; at least 2 years of Production Team Leader experience
Formal Lean Training and supervision experience a plus
Effectively communicate with all team members, both written and verbal
AS or BS degree in Engineering (Manufacturing), Industrial Management, Business, or comparable degrees; or equivalent experience
Ability to stand/sit for a full 10-hour shift
High School Diploma or equivalent required
