

The Team: The Chief Infrastructure Office is responsible for new 400 kV, 220 kV and 110 kV Station and Circuit Projects as well as upgrade and refurbishment projects on the existing network. Managing these projects from Conceptual Phase, through Feasibility, Statutory Planning Assessment and consent to Handover for Detailed Design and Construction Phase.
Your role in the team will be to take responsibility for the delivery of a range of medium to Large Infrastructure Projects to Approved Schedule, Budget, and quality requirements. The role will involve a combination of Office-Based Working and Site Visits to both Existing and New Substations and Transmission Circuit Sites.

The successful candidate will be involved with the project management of Large-Scale Infrastructure Projects – on-time and within budget, respecting established governance and controls. The role holder will work on projects across their Entire Life Cycle – from Project Initiation, through Construction and Commissioning and right up to project close.
Full drivers’ licence.
Strong understanding of the requirements of stakeholders and industry for the transmission system and associated developments.
Excellent communicator, able to articulate Technical Concepts and analysis to non-technical audiences and business leaders.
Proven experience of managing a portfolio of Largescale Projects – overseeing the delivery of Complex Solutions and an ability to drive successful outcomes.
Ability to coach and develop high performance capabilities in a changing and dynamic environment.
Engineering degree or equivalent, typically with 6 years relevant experience with a holistic understanding of the Power Industry.
