Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of mechanical engineering experience, including commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of HVAC sequences of operation and ability to develop and execute testing procedures.
• Experience with HVAC control systems such as JCI, Trane, Automated Logic, Siemens, etc.
• Working knowledge of chilled water and DX HVAC components (chillers, boilers, cooling towers, pumps, AHUs, VAVs, FCUs, etc.).
• Ability to perform air‑and‑water test‑and‑balance, review TAB reports, and identify issues.
• Field experience gathering data, creating installation and testing documentation, and inspecting mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and mechanical codes.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical plans, specifications, and work safely around 600‑V electrical systems.
• Strong communication skills with clients, construction trades, and design professionals.
• Detail‑oriented, assertive, and capable of abstract reasoning and thorough documentation.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, in hot or cold environments, and travel up to 25 % of the time.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, operate lift trucks, and perform moderate lifting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Benefits

The projected salary range for this position is $113,000–$145,000 annually, varying with skills, experience, and location.
