What you would be doing

Utilizes appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed including boots, gloves, suits, eye/ear protection and a respirator
Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and consistently maintaining safe practices
Utilizes Arcwood coding and labeling systems to handle and manage containers
Reviews laboratory data to determine proper handling and disposal of materials
Perform chemical compatibility checks to prevent reactions and other issues
Loads, unloads and processes solid and liquid waste safely in accordance with Company, Federal, State and Local rules and regulations
Utilizes proper equipment to remove samples of materials for analysis and compatibility checks
Performs basic spill cleanup and housekeeping duties as directed
Operates a fork truck and Bobcat with attachments
Directs liquid waste through a system of pumps to tanks for storage
Uses Department of Transportation (DOT) knowledge to match and label inbound materials for storage and shipping of containers to other sites
Operates a hydraulic baler for cardboard and other materials
Maintains operating areas, walls, pipes, and floors in a clean and safe condition
Utilizes barcode system equipment to document certain inventory activities

Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
High-school diploma or equivalent (required)
Working knowledge of EPA, DOT, and OSHA regulations and general industry practices
Utilizes knowledge of applicable EPA, DOT, OSHA and permit regulations
