Description

Key responsibilities include acting as the main point of contact for customers on‑site, executing technical work on large‑capacity motors and generators, performing pre‑commissioning, commissioning, troubleshooting, overhauls, and detailed inspections such as alignment and vibration analysis. The engineer also prepares material lists, ensures parts availability, documents activities, and supports sales with technical authority, while maintaining high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.

• Serve as primary on‑site contact, delivering service per GE Vernova standards.
• Execute technical tasks on large‑capacity motors and generators, including pre‑commissioning, commissioning, troubleshooting, overhauls, and field inspections.
• Perform on‑site parts replacement and electrical testing (e.g., insulation resistance, polarization index).
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Prepare material lists, ensure parts availability, and coordinate with support teams.
• Document work, generate reports, and support sales with technical expertise.
• Uphold EHS standards and promote continuous safety improvement.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering and have hands‑on experience with rotating machines. Required skills include strong communication, problem‑solving, customer engagement, independent work, and proficiency with field diagnostics and digital service platforms. Frequent travel and the ability to work offshore on marine vessels are essential.
